10月20日に新横浜少年野球場にて開催された2018ふるさと港北ふれあい祭りでブースを出展しました。
今回のブース出展の目的はイギリス文化について知ってもらうと同時に、私たちKEIO 2020 projectについて知ってもらうこと、また、2020年に横浜市港北区にある慶應義塾大学日吉キャンパスで13競技の英国代表選手団の事前キャンプが行われることを広めることでした。そこでブースでは３つの企画を行いました。１つ目はマザーグースの中にある「ロンドン橋」という童謡をモチーフにしたリンボーダンスです。子どもたちは何度もリンボーダンスに挑戦し、楽しんでくれたようでした。２つ目は紅茶の試飲で、沢山の方にイギリスの伝統的な飲料である紅茶を提供させて頂きました。３つ目はイギリスやオリンピックに関するクイズを行いました。子どもも大人も一緒になって真剣に取り組んでくださり、「そうだったんだ」「知らなかった」という声から、より多くの人に事前キャンプと当プロジェクトについて知ってもらえたのではないかと思いました。また、KEIO 2020 projectに興味を持って頂き、どんな活動をしているのかといった質問をしてくださる方が多くいらっしゃったのがとても嬉しかったです。
当日は沢山の方にブースにお越し頂き、KEIO 2020 projectの活動を広め、区民の方との交流を楽しむことができました。一方、区民の方と接する中で、まだまだKEIO 2020 projectが認知されていないという課題も見えてきたので、これからより一層KEIO 2020 projectの活動を盛り上げていけるよう頑張りたいと思います！

【Activity Report】
On October 20th, we set up a booth at the FURUSATO FUREAI Festival 2018 held in Shinyokohama Youth Baseball Field.
Our purpose of this event were to let local people know about British culture and our KEIO 2020 project’s activities, as well as to tell them the fact that the pre-game preparation camp of 13 different sport events for Team GB will be held in 2020 at Hiyoshi Campus which lies in the Kohoku Ward, Yokohama. In order to achieve these purpose, we prepared three activities: limbo, tea tasting, and quiz. Limbo dance, which was made to represent the “London Bridge” -a children’s song in Mother Goose- was very popular among the young kids. We also served traditioinal British tea to our guests. In addition, we gave out quizzes about British culture and Olympics. Both kids and adults were working on them in earnest and surprised to know the answers. What made us much more delighted was that they were very interested in our activities that they asked us a lot of questions regarding the project.
Through the event, we were able to let our activities known to lots of local residents who thankfully came to our booth and we enjoyed communicating with everyone. We, however, also recognized that KEIO 2020 project are not well known yet. Therefore, we will try harder to let more people know about our activity towards the Tokyo 2020 Olympics!
